Title: Network Engineer
Job Description:


C7 Data Centers is a rapidly expanding multi-tenant colocation provider with solutions for enterprise, small and medium business customers. We provide a broad range of solutions that address critical organizational needs, such as colocation, business-class virtual computing, disaster recovery and backup.

We are looking for a Network Engineer that can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. This person will help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain our network. This person will be comfortable interfacing with customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  2. Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices.
  3. Manage bandwidth and telecommunication providers & contracts.
  4. Manage and monitor inbound & outbound network traffic.
  5. Supports administration of servers and server clusters.
  6. Manages all system back-up software and restore protocol.
  7. Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
  8. Perform daily troubleshooting analysis of servers and associated systems.
  9. Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
  10. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
  11. Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam.
  12. Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
  13. Oversee software and network security.
  14. Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
  2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  3. Systems: Windows, Cisco Systems, Foundry, UNIX, Linux, Compellent
  4. Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, BGP, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, HTTP, SMTP, SSH, EIGRP, OSPF, PPP, MPLS
  5. Ability to carry and rack all components of workstations and servers, network equipment, peripherals and ancillary equipment.
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Virtual computing experience – VMware, etc.
  2. ISP Experience
