Wes Swenson – Chief Executive Officer
Wes is a man of action—which explains his love of high-adventure hiking and biking. And after you meet him, you’ll realize why he is an ideal fit for C7. His vision is an integral part in setting and achieving corporate strategies, where he implements his knowledge from over 25 years of experience in the high-tech market.
Wes also has the unique experience of working on both the venture capital industry, and as an operational executive. He has been involved in start-ups, turnarounds, and mature companies expanding their market footprint.
Over his career Wes has worked as a venture partner for GMG Capital, a managing partner for BlackRock Ventures Utah and held management positions at companies such as NV Philips, SoftCopy, WordPerfect, Novell, Phobos, SonicWall, Cosmebrite, and Forum Systems. Whatever mountain may stand in your way, Wes is the man you want to show you the way.
Cory Argyle – VP Finance
For Cory, finance is like baseball—no errors = perfect game. And Cory is one of the best there is. At C7, he is responsible for financial planning, management, and reporting. As a seasoned executive, he brings more than 15 years of financial management and business operations experience to the game.
Cory served as the Chief Financial Officer at G Code Ventures and as the Chief Financial Officer at Forum Systems, a leading software security company. Prior to that he served as the Corporate Controller for Phobos Corporation.
Jeff Swain – VP Sales
If sales are the lifeblood of business, then Jeff is the heart of C7. With more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of technology sales, Jeff is a proven sales leader with a sound understanding of direct, major account, and channel sales management.
Jeff leads by example and manages sales teams that consistently exceed corporate goals. More importantly, he understands how to train and empower his teams to be successful, and who doesn’t want to scale success?
Jeff “success” Swain has excelled wherever he has been. Most recently he was VP of Sales at ARKONA, and before that he was the Director of Channel Sales for Legato System’s high-availability division.
Dave Jenkins – VP Marketing
Dave is all about performance. His passion for restoring 1960s muscle cars to their original and glorious state reaffirms his desire to make the most out of every opportunity. Obviously, Dave and marketing were made for each other.
His ability to build and run well-oiled machines make him the clear choice to lead our marketing programs and sales relationships. Simply put, Dave drives opportunities for the C7 sales team.
Dave’s qualifications run far and wide. His experiences have includes ARKONA, Vinca Corporation, Jostens, Wicat Systems, Inc., and managed the multi-million dollar OEM sales relationship with Novell at both Legato and Vinca Corporation. You want to go places? Dave is the guy to get you there.
Jeff Brooks – VP Facilities
If you don’t know Jeff, it’s because everything works so seamlessly. He is comfortable both in front and behind the scenes—whatever it takes to provide our customers with the highest level of facility services possible. Jeff brings more than 28 years of Information Technology to C7 and it shows in everything from data center design, operations, process and policy management (including SSAE 16 & SAS 70 audits), change movement, project management and vendor relations. Just like a great fly fisherman, it’s a little art, a little science and a lot of experience.
Jeff spent the first 15-years of his IT career working in large Fortune 100 companies (American Express and Safeway Stores) where he excelled in many engineering and operational areas. The following 13-years, he helped establish several startup companies, which has given him an understanding and perspective
Ron Driggs – Director of Data Centers
Ron loves to travel, which works to our benefit because he brings a world of experience to C7 as he directs and oversees our data center operations. He recruits great site managers and technicians and then trains them to be even better. He also works hand in hand with our sales team to ensure that we meet and exceed our customers’ needs.
Before Ron joined C7, he built an impressive track record at GAP Inc., and Aldo Groupe. They say there are no shortcuts to building a great reputation. But the good news is, Ron is excited to prove his every day.
Jeff Walton – Director of Network Engineering and Architecture
Jeff is an Eagle Scout—which is good news for you and us. He is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind and all the other things that come along with that honor. And even better, is he’s prepared for everything.
Currently, he’s responsible for the design and support of C7’s high-availability network used to connect all C7’s data centers. He also leads the charge to provide excellent Internet connectivity to all our customers. Before joining C7, Jeff was the Network Architect at Nu Skin Enterprises where he led a team of network engineers and successfully managed a large infrastructure-operating budget.
Steve Boyce – Director of Facilities Engineering
Steve is a lifesaver—literally. He is a trained EMT, and now implements those skills to keep the C7 data center functioning on all levels. His main responsibilities revolve around managing the data center environment. That includes the cooling, power, security and all the systems associated with those elements.
Prior to joining the team at C7, Steve was the Technical Services Manager at Dick Simon Trucking and has played instrumental roles in a number of data center builds and upgrades. Steve makes the tough stuff look easy.
Scott Pearce – Network Engineer
Meet “Mr. 24-7-365”. Scott is always on call for high-level technical support, and that helps everyone sleep a little easier. He also designs, implements, troubleshoots, analyzes and maintains the network interfaces regularly with customers. When he’s not doing any of those things, you can find him playing sports or spending time with his family.
Scott has extensive experience with great companies like Convergys—AT&T, Moduslink International and OMTek, where he designed and built a successful data center, which was eventually sold to Via West.
Mike Maughan – Marketing Director
Mike speaks many languages. This skill has proven invaluable because when it comes to messaging, it’s not only what you’re saying, it’s how you’re saying it. Mike has a rich background in both PPC (Pay per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) marketing and has a proven track record of getting things noticed.
His responsibilities include online and offline marketing efforts, developing the C7 brand and maintaining our website. Prior to joining C7, Mike led the online marketing efforts at MingleMatch Inc., BYU Broadcasting and Zygote Media Group.
