"Our decision to outsource to C7 Data Centers was straight-forward."

Dan Marriott, Director of Production Operations - Answers Corporation

Remote Backup

Data crucial to your business is stored on servers within your walls or hosted off-site. You and your customers depend on access to this data everyday. The integrity of this data can be a fragile thing - temperature, moisture, theft, natural disasters, disruption of power, and interruption of Internet connectivity - even the smallest of these threats can stop your business process and profits cold.

Remote Backup Services

C7 has teamed with Compellent to offer a true offsite disaster recovery option for your business. With this service in place at our world class data center, your data will be secure so you can sleep at night knowing a backup copy of your data is safe.

Process and Strategy

When C7 performs a backup, a complete image or full backup of your data is made. With a complete and verified image in place, only new or modified data is transferred from your infrastructure to the redundant Compellent disk arrays at C7. This changed or incremental data is compared to the previous backup and then a complete backup image of your protected data is made. This same process occurs each time a backup is run.

Integral to C7's managed backup services is the reduction of customer infrastructure bandwidth utilization and server overhead when it comes to the data backup process. C7's managed backup solution effectively does away with traditional methods of full and incremental backups.

Infrastructure Support

C7 gives customers the ability to recover from disasters by providing a wide-range of support for operating systems and applications. These include:

  • Windows Server NT/2000/2003 [Compellent]
  • Windows XP Professional
  • Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Linux OS
  • Other Unix OS
